IG KEY : OFF , Engine : OFF
Disconnect MAP sensor connector(C29).
Measure resistence between terminals 4 and 2 of the MAP sesor connectorC29.
Specification : Approxat 30 kΩ at 20°C(68°F)
Connect MAP sensor connector(C29).
Remove MAP sensor and IG KEY: ON
Using s hand-held vacuum pump, apply vacuum and measure the "MAP SENSOR" parameter on scantool.

Is the sensor’s signal near the spacified value?
YES
MAP sensor is OK.
Possibility of ECM fail
Test with a new ECM and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected replace ECM and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
Test with a new MAP sensor and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace MAP sensor.
And go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
