Monitor the "MASS AIR FLOW" parameter on scantool.

a.
Approx. 900mV at IG KEY: ON & Engine: OFF
b.
Approx. 1,300mV ~ 1,500mV at idle(no load)
c.
Approx. 1,700mV ~ 1,800mV at 2000RPM(no load)
Connect santool to Data Link Connector(DLC).
Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
Monitor the "MASS AIR FLOW" parameter on scantool.

Is the sensor’s signal near the specified value?
YES
MAF sensor is OK.
Possibility of ECM fail
Test with a new ECM and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected replace ECM and go to "Verefication Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
Test with a new MAF sensor and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace MAF sensor
