CURRENT DATA AND ACTUATION TEST

With the A/C switch ON, the ECM will ground the coil of the A/C compressor relay and then the A/C compressor runs. For checking the wire from the fuses to the ECM including the A/C relay, the START key should be pressed in the scan tool actuation test mode. And then make sure that the relay and the compressor clutch "click" noise could be heard.

IS A/C RELAY ON DISPLAYED PROPERLY ?

YES

a.

Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor’s and/or ECU’s connector or was repaired and ECU memory was not cleared.

b.

Check for intermittent fault by observing the data parameter for a sudden change while wiggling the wiring and tapping lightly on the suspect component.

Be careful not to damage wires or components during the test.

Repair as necessary and go to " Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure

Go to " W/Harness Inspection " procedure.
