Measure resistance between terminal 1 and 2 of the EGR S/V connectorC56.
[Specification] Approx. 35 ~ 45Ω(20℃)
Check that the ground voltage is less than approx. 0.3V(①) and the surge voltage(②) is between 40 V and 60 V in the EGR’s signal waveform.
Is the EGR S/V normal?
YES
EGR S/V is OK.
Possibility of defective ECM. Temporarily test with a new ECM and check for proper operation.
If problem is corrected, replace ECM and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
Repair or replace it.Then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
