Install the inlet fitting.
Tightening torque |
Engine coolant inlet fitting bolt : |
20 - 25 Nm (200 - 250 kg.cm, 14.7 - 18.4 lb.ft) |
Drain the coolant so its level is below the thermostat.
Remove the inlet fitting and gasket.
Remove the thermostat.
Check that the flange of the thermostat is correctly seated in the socket of the thermostat housing.
Install the inlet fitting.
Tightening torque |

Refill the coolant.
Heat the thermostat as shown in the illustration.
Check that the valve operates properly.
Verify the temperature at which the valve begins to open.
Valve opening temperature : |
83.5 - 86.5°C (182 - 188°F) |
Full opening temperature : 100°C (212°F) |
