Verification of Vehicle Repair
Verification Procedure
1.

Connect the scan tool to the data link connector(DLC) and start the engine

2.

Fix the mass folw, the EGR actuator and the engine speed in the current data of scan tool

3.

ARE THERE THE MASS AIR FLOE AND THE EGR ACTTUATOR CURRENT DATA PROPERLY DISPLAYED AT THE IDLE WITHIN SPECFICATION ?

1)

SPECIFICATION

a.

MASS AIR FLOW

b.

450 ~ 510 mg/stroke (without EGR operation)

c.

280 ~ 360 mg/stroke (with EGR operation)

d.

EGR SOL. VALVE DUTY RATIO

e.

5 % (opened position) ~ 95 % (closed position)

YES

a.

Go to step 4

NO

a.

Go to " Component Inspection" procedure among the tree on the left-hand side of the window

b.

Recheck the MAF sensor and the EGR system , Go to " DTC 0100 or 0403 "

4.

Fix the VGT actuator, the boost pressure sensor and the throttle actuator in the current data of scan tool

1)

SPECIFICATION

a.

VGT ACUTATOR DUTY RATIO

b.

85% (low speed and low load) ~ 5% (high speed and high load)

c.

BOOST PRESSURE

d.

2500 mbar (Maximum)

e.

THROTTLE ACUTATOR DUTY RATIO

f.

95% (fully closed position) ~ 0% (fully opened position)

note

① This test should be inspected after keeping the condition of the engine speed with the above 1500 rpm and the fuel injection quantity with above 40 cc

② Keep the above test condition for more than 5 seconds

③ Let it idle and check the current data

5.

IS THERE THE CURRENT DATA PROPERLY DISPLAYED WITHOUT ENGINE SPEED LIMITATION ?

YES

a.

Make sure there is no the DTC in the diagnostic trouble codes menu

NO

a.

Recheck for the wiring/harness of throttle sol.valve and component inspection

b.

Recheck for the wiring/harness of VGT sol.valve and component inspection

c.

Recheck for the wiring/harness of boost pressure sensor and component inspection

d.

Recheck for the wiring/harness of VGT actuator and component inspection

6.

MONITORING FOR PENDING DTC SET ?

YES

a.

Go to the applicable troubleshooting procedure.

NO

a.

System OK
