The SRS is equipped with a voltage control circuit (DC-DC converter) in the SRSCM to maintain certain voltage and current for the system. When the battery voltage is too higher than speciation due to alternator voltage regulator malfunction or other reasons the warning lamp remain lit up and the DTC is a B1111 code is not stored and the voltage returns to normal, the SRS warning light automatically goes off.
- When the SRS warning light remain lite up and the DTC is the normal code, this means a voltage source drops or high.
- This malfunction is not stored in memory by the SRS Control Module and if the power source voltage returns to normal, the SRS warning light will automatically go out.
- If a code not listed on the chart is displayed, the SRS Control Module is faulty.
