Raise the vehicle.
Remove the oil filler plug.
Check the oil level and refill it if necessary. Oil level should be at the lower portion of the filler plug hole.
Install the oil filler plug and lower the vehicle.
Raise the vehicle and remove the drain plug and drain the transaxle oil.
Replace the gasket with a new one and install the drain plug.
Remove the oil filler plug.
Add the specified amount and type of oil into the filler hole.

Oil level should be at the lower portion of the filler plug hole.
Install the oil filler plug and lower the vehicle.
Tightening torque : 29-34 Nm (290-340 kg·cm, 20-24 lb·ft) |
Warm up the vehicle until the transaxle oil reaches its normal temperature, then check for leakage of transaxle oil.
Disconnect the drive shaft form the transaxle (Refer to "DS" group).
Using a flat-tip screwdriver, remove the oil seal.
Using the special tool (09431-21200), tap the drive shaft oil seal into the transaxle.
Apply a coating of gear oil to the oil seal.
