How to Check the Cruise Control Switch

BASIC INSPECTION

Before performing the inspection of the cruise control switch, make sure that the follwing items :

① Bent or broken terminals, harness connector connection, loose wires and damage or crack

② Backed out terminal, improper mating, and poor terminal to wire connection

CHECK PROCEDURE

1.

LH cruise control switch

① Check the voltage at the terminal 3 when pressing the CRUISE control switch OFF

1)

approx. 4.5V

② Check the voltage at the terminal 3 when pressing the CRUISE control switch ON

1)

approx. 8V

③ Check the voltage at the terminal 3 when pressing the CANCEL switch ON

1)

approx. 0V

2.

RH cruise control switch

① Check the voltage at the terminal 3 when pressing the CRUISE control switch OFF

1)

approx. 4.5V

② Check the voltage at the terminal 3 when pressing the RES ACCEL ON

1)

approx. 3V

③ Check the voltage at the terminal 3 when pressing the SET COAST switch ON

1)

approx. 1.5V
