Is it possible to start Engine by limphome function ?
YES
a.
Replace new virgin ICM and then go to " Verification of Vehicle repair" procedure.
NO
a.
Go to "Check ECM" as below.
Ignition " OFF" & Engine "OFF"
Subsitute with a known-good ICM from another vehicle then, perform limphome function according to (6) Limphome function in Reference Data described in General Information.
Is it possible to start Engine by limphome function ?
YES
Replace new virgin ICM and then go to " Verification of Vehicle repair" procedure.
NO
Go to "Check ECM" as below.
Ignition " OFF" & Engine "OFF"
Remove ECM and subsitute with a known-good ECM from another same model vehicle.according to (9),(10) ECM replacement belongs to the things to remember before a repair in Reference Data" described in General Information - For MELCO System
Is it possible to start Engine ?
YES
Replace ECM and then go to " Verification of Vehicle repair" procedure.
NO
Check that no starting is a reault from different system malfunction such as battery, starting motor or ECM etc.
Repair or replace as necessary then, go to " Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
