Check the ignition coil primary #1, #2 waveform compare to reference data.
Using a oscilloscope, measure the ignition coil primary #1 & #2 waveform.
Connect oscilloscope probe to ignition coil control circuit (3/C52, 3/C53) and ground.
Start the engine and let it run at idling speed.
Check the ignition coil primary #1, #2 waveform compare to reference data.
Is waveform’s display near the specified value?
YES
Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor’s and/or ECM’s connector.
Fault was repaired and ECM memory was not cleared.
If the problem works out, Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
Go to "Inspection & Repair" procedure.
