IG KEY : ON , Engine : ON
Connect knock sensor connectorC02 and ECM connector.
Check the signal waveform of knock sensor on scantool.
[Specification] Approx. 0.3V (When the knocking doesn’t take place at idle)
Is the signal waveform normal?
YES
Knock sensor is OK.
Possibility of defective ECM. Temporarily test with a new ECM and check for proper operation.
If problem is corrected, replace ECM and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
Test with a new knock sensor and check for proper operation.If problem is corrected, replace it.
And go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
