☞ CURRENT DATA

During the acceleration, the APS 1 and APS 2 output voltage increase. During the deceleration, the APS 1 and the APS 2 output voltage decrease. The APS 1 and APS 2 signal should be compared with the Mass Air Flow meter Sensor (MAFS) signal. Check whether APS 1, APS 2 and MAFS signals are increased at the same time when depressing the accel pedal

IS APS SIGNAL DISPLAYED PROPERLY ?

YES

a.

Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor’s and/or ECM’s connector or was repaired and ECM memory was not cleared.

b.

Check for intermittent fault by observing the data parameter for a sudden change while wiggling the wiring and tapping lightly on the suspect component.

Be careful not to damage wires or components during the test.

Repair as necessary and go to " Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure
