BASIC INSPECTION

Before performing an inspection of the clutch switch, check for the following :

① Contact resistance, oxidation, corrosion, bent or broken terminals

② Harness connector connection, loose wires etc.

CHECK PROCEDURE

1.

Clutch switch test

① Remove the clutch s/w connector. There should be no continuity between terminal 1 and terminal 2

② When pressing the brake s/w, there should be continuity between the terminal 1 to the terminal 2.

2. Resistance Check

① Disconnect the clutch switch

② Connect ohmmeter probes to terminal 1 and terminal 2 and measure the resistance.
