Monitor Scantool Data
1.

Start the engine and warming up properly

2.

After connecting Scantool and monitor the "ENGINE SPEED, INPUT SPEED SENSOR, OUTPUT SPEED SENSOR, GEAR POSITION "parameter on the Scantool data list.

3.

Do stall test of the D2 and D3 range

note

Stall test procedure in Reverse and reason

1)

Procedure

a.

1. Warm up the engine

b.

After positioning the select lever in "R" range, Step on the foot brake fully after that, step on the accelator to the maximum

* The slippage of REVERSE clutch and L/R brake can be detected by stall test in R range

2)

Reason for stall test

a.

1.If there is no mechanical defaults in A/T, every slippage occur in torque converter.

b.

2.Therfore, engine revolution is out, but input and output speed revolution must be "zero" due to wheel’s lock.

c.

3. If RERVERSE clutch and L/R brake system(reverse gear operating part) has faults, input speed revolution will be out.

d.

4. If oupput speed revolution is out. It means that the foot brake is not applied fully. Remeasuring is required.

4.

Is display data near the specified value?

YES

a.

Check output speed sensor measuring value is abnormal(confirm noise and signal error)

b.

After erasing the code memory, confirm reoccuring of trouble code

NO

a.

In case of input speed sensor detecting revolution

-Repair(Replace) REVERSE clucth and L/R brake defect or oil pressure system defect and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

b.

In case of output speed sensor detecting revolution

- If oupput speed revolution is out. It means that the foot brake is not applied fully. Remeasuring is required.
