Remove the rear wheel and tire.
Remove the rear strut assembly. See [Cf.]p.SS-24, REMOVAL step in REAR STRUT ASSEMBLY.
After lowering the jack a little, remove the rear coil spring and the rear spring upper pad.
Remove the rear suspension upper and lower arm from the trailing arm. See [Cf.] p.SS-20, REMOVAL step in REAR SUSPENSION ARM.
Using the special tool (09517-43001), loosen the rear suspension upper and lower arm mounting nuts after removing the split-pins.
However, leave the cam bolts(cross member side) tightened.
Loosen the four bolts which hold the rear brake backing plate.
Remove the rear brake backing plate.
Loosen the trailing arm bushing mounting bolt.
Remove the trailing arm complete.
Tighten the trailing arm bushing mounting bolt.
Install the rear brake backing plate by tightening the four bolts.
After tightening the rear suspension upper and lower arm mounting nuts, insert new split-pins.
Install the parking brake cable.
Remember clamping the parking brake cable with a clip.
Attach the parking brake cable bracket with a bolt and the brake hose bracket with a clip.
Loosen the clamp which has been done to the brake hose in REMOVAL step. See page SS-20.
Install the rear hub assembly with a hammer.
It could be handly possible to install the rear hub completely only by hammering.
It will be installed firmly by tightening the flange nut.
Install the brake drum (or caliper) with screws (or bolts) to the brake backing plate.
Install the washer and the flange nut to the driveshaft. Tighten the flange nut as firmly as it can be for the complete installation of the rearhub assembly.
Deviation of rotational direction: ±3° or less Pull-out force for the bushing: 150N [15000 kg(f), 22.5 lb(f)] |
