Check the inner housing contacting turbine wheel for crack, pitching and other damages caused by overheat.
Make sure that the waste gate valve lever operates freely by hands.
Make sure there are no damages on the inner housing surface contacting compressor wheel.
Turbine wheel and shaft assemblies with cracks in the blades or broken blades can not be used again. If the blades are slightly bent, it canbe used again but severely bent blades can not be reused.
Check if there are foreign materials disturbing the oil flow in the oil passage of cartridge assembly.
Check the waste gate rod operation under the pressure below.
Do not readjust the yellow paint marked parts such as Min. Flow setting screw and Actuator Rod End. Take care of all parts of which are precisely set, whenever a new VGT is produced. Additionally, do not grab the actuator rod when carrying or assembling it, it can causedeformation, resulting in change of the precisely adjusted valve.
Prior to connecting the turbo changer oil inlet pipe after installing the VGT to the engine, pour a slight amount ofclean engine oil into the turbo charger oil inlet.
When installing the VGT to the engine, be careful not to come in a glove or metal particles.
