Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF"

Check VSS’s signal on scantool.
Specification: Signal should vary between Low and High

Is the VSS’s signal within specifications ?
YES
▶ Possibility of defective PCM. Temporarily test with a new PCM and check for proper operation.
NO
▶ Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to " Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
