The Engine control module (ECM) is installed in the passenger compartment to protect it from external. The ECM with a lot of chips and circuits processes the input signals according to control algorithms. Voltage regulator in the ECM controls power supply to output transistor.
The ECM will set a code if an error is detected in the ECM’s voltage regulator malfunction during. two driving cycles.
