Go to "Power Circuit Inspection"
Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
Has a problem been found?
YES
Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
Go to "Power Circuit Inspection"
Ignition "OFF", Turn Engine "OFF".
Disconnect MAFS connector(C213).
Ignition "ON"
Measure the voltage of terminal 2 of MAFS sensor connector.
Specification : 4.8V~5.1V
Is the measured voltage within the specification ?
YES
Go to "Component Inspection"
NO
When the measured voltage is below the specified value
☞ Refer to P1522 Circuit Inspection.
When the measured voltage is above the specified value
☞ Refer to P1523 Circuit Inspection.
