The clutch switch is used to detect changes of gear and impending the engine load signal such as the de-clutch, engine first gear, move off. Also, the clutch switch has the cancellation of cruise control. To prevent the engine rpm surging when de-clutching during the gear changes, The ECM adjusts injector operation.
