Start the engine and turn the ignition switch OFF

IS THE ENGINE STOP IMMEDIATELY ?

YES

a.

Make sure there is no the DTC in the dignostic trouble codes menu.

NO

a.

Measure the supply voltage or check the signal waveform at the injector No.1 terminal 2, the injector No.4 terminal 2 and the injector No.3 terminal 2, injector No.2 terminal 2 when turning the ignition switch OFF.

b.

For more detailed information, Go to " DTC P1184 or DTC P0261 ~ 0272 and Component Inspection " on the left-hand side of the window.

note

When truning the ignition switch is OFF the engine rpm should be below 500 rpm within 1.5 sec. Inspect the ignition switch ON and OFF after starting the engine repeatedly.

Check the RPS, VSS, and FPR (fuel pressure regulator) if suspected. Go to the applicable DTC troubleshooting procedure.

Start the engine and turn the ignition switch OFF again.

5.

IS THE ENGINE STOP IMMEDIATELY ?

YES

a.

Make sure there is no the DTC in the diagnostic trouble codes menu

NO

a.

Replace a known - good ECM and recheck. if the problem is verified, replace the ECM.

6.

MONITORING FOR PENDING DTC SET ?

YES

a.

Go to the applicable troubleshooting procedure.

NO

a.

System OK
