Resistance test
Connect the ohmmeter probes to the terminal 1 and the terminal 2, measure the resistance.

Specification : 2.07 ~ 2.53 Ω at 20℃(68℉)
BASIC INSPECTION
Before performing the inspection of fuel pressure regulator, make sure that the follwing items :
① Contact resistance, corrosion, bent or broken terminals, connector connection, loose wires etc.
② O ring condition
③ Fuel quality
CHECK PROCEDURE
Resistance test
Connect the ohmmeter probes to the terminal 1 and the terminal 2, measure the resistance.
Specification : 2.07 ~ 2.53 Ω at 20℃(68℉)
Inspect contact surface of around the ball for the roughness, damage, crack etc.
Leakage test
① Check the leakage condition of fuel pressure regulator valve with the vaccum pump
② Apply the vaccum pressure with th vaccum pump to the fuel regulator valve and wait above 3 minutes.
- Replace the fuel pressure regulator valve If the fuel regulator valve is not keep the vaccum pressure.
In case of normal vehicle, the fuel pressure drops slowly after turning the ignition switch OFF. However, if the fuel pressure regulator is defective, the fuel pressure drops rapidly without keeping residual pressure.
