Measure resistance between terminal 1 and 2 of the EGR S/V connector.

Specification : Approx. 35 ~ 45Ω(20℃)

Check that the ground voltage is less than approx. 0.3V(①) and the surge voltage(②) is between 40 V and 60 V in the EGR’s signal waveform.

Is the EGR valve working properly ?
YES
▶ Substitute with a known - good PCM and check for proper operation.
▶ If the problem is corrected, replace PCM and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
▶ Substitute with a known - good EGR Valve and check for proper operation.
▶ If the problem is corrected, replace EGR Valve and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair"procedure.
