Monitor Scantool Data

1. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF"

2. Connect Scan tool and cleare the DTCs

3. If the DTCs are retrieved again, monitor "CURRENT DATA" to check KEY INFO. CHECK.

Fig. 1 : Scan tool shows that ICM has been matched with 1(one) ID key, 2(two) master key and notifies present key information in the key cylinder.

4.Is the KEY INFO. CHECK displayed as one of the keys ICM memories ?

YES

a.

This is not the Transponder problem.

b.

Go to " W/Harness Inspection" procedure.

NO

a.

Perform proper scantool mode operation according to the transponder condition.

b.

Substitute with an known-good Transponder and check for proper operation. If the problem is correted, replace a virgin Transponder and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
