Check IG failure sensor

Connect IG failure sensor and PCM connector

Engine "ON"
(3)
Check that RPM meter on instrument panel is operating correctly and the signal waveform of IG failure sensor at terminal 4.

Is the IG failure sensor normal?
YES
▶ Substitute with a known - good PCM and check for proper operation.
If the problem is corrected, replace PCM and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
▶ Substitute with a known - good IG failure sensor and check for proper operation.
If the problem is corrected, replace IG failure sensor and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
