Piston position on combustion chamber is the substantial to define the starting of injection timing. All engine pistons are connected to crankshaft by connecting rod. Sensor on crankshaft can supply the informations concerning all piston positions, revolution speed is defined by revolutin per minute of crankshaft. Prior input variable is determined at ECM by using signal from induced crankshaft speed sensor.
Remove the crankshaft position sensor connector.
Measure the resistance between terminal NO.1 and NO.2.
0.65 ~ 1.00 ㏀
If the resistance deviates from the standard value greatly, replace the sensor.
Clearance between crankshaft position sensor and CKP wheel : 0.5 ~ 1.5 mm
Install the sensor observing the specified torque.
0.4 ~ 0.6 kg.m
