Possible DTC: P0340
* CC-CODE
C001 (Signal below the lower limit - No signal)
Possible causes of trouble :
Open circuit. Broken line Short circuit to GND line CMP sensor defective Incorrect installation position or sensor loose |
C002 (Signal above the upper limit)
Possible causes of trouble :
CMP sensor defective Inteference on signal line from other component (Alternator, Injector lines) |
C003 (General error)
2 time turns of camshaft signal are exceed the upper or lower window limit of camshaft set signal, then error is detected.
Possible causes of trouble:
CMP sensor defective Incorrect installation position or sensor loose Air gap between sensor to sensing wheel is too wide |
C004 (Plausibility error)
When the limit between angular velocity of crankshaft signal sensing stubs and frequency multiplier of inner ECU is exceed the set value, error is detected.
Possible causes of trouble:
Contact resistance CMP sensor defective Incorrect installation position or sensor loose Camshaft and crankshaft misarrangement Inteference on signal line from other component (Alternator, Injector lines) |
Measure the supply voltage of sensor pin 3 to pin 1
8 ~ 15V
Use an oscilloscope to record signal profile from pin2 to GND. Engine idling.
Square wave (5V)
CMP signal
CKP signal
Check wiring if CMP sensor signal is not OK.
Wiring check:
ECU | CMP |
Pin 104 Pin 103 B (+) | Pin 1 Pin 2 Pin 3 |
Check the camshaft and crankshaft arrangement if applicable at the present of CKP and CMP signal.
