Drain the coolant to a level below the bottom of the sensor.
Disconnect the ground cable from the battery and then remove the sensor connector.
Remove the coolant sensor.
Tighten the coolant temperature sensor to the specified torque after applying the sealant to the screw area.

Threebond No. 1324N or LOCTITE 262 |

20 - 40Nm (200 - 400 kg.cm, 14 - 29 lb.ft) |
Connect the sensor to the harness.
Connect the ground cable to the battery.
Refill the engine coolant.
Do not apply oil or grease to engine coolant pipe O-ring.
Keep the engine coolant pipe connections free of sand, dust, etc.
Insert the engine coolant pipe into the end of the engine coolant pump inlet.
Whenever installing the engine coolant inlet pipe, always replace the O-ring with a new one.
