Applying brake pedal at least 20 TIMES over 98N (10kg, 22lbs.) after bleeding.

(refer to "Bleeding the brake system")

After the full stroke operation of the lever over 4 or 5 times for seatting the cable.

The travel must be between 7 notches when applying a force of 196N (20kg, 44lbs.) at 40mm from the end of lever assy

Pull the brake lever with force of 200N (20kg, 44lbs) and count the number of notches.

If the parking brake stroke is out of the standard value, adjust it as follows :

(1)

Remove the console.

(2)

Loosen the adjusting nut on the end of the cable rod.

(3)

Remove the adjusting hole plug, and then turn the adjuster the direction of the arrow. To prevent the disc from rotating, use a screwdriver.

(4)

Turn the adjuster 5 notches in the opposite direction of arrow.

(5)

Turn the adjuster nut to adjust the parking brake stroke to the specification.

note

If the number of parking brake notches is less than the specification, loosen the readjuster nut and readjust.

(6)

After adjusting, check that there is no gap between the adjusting nut and pin and that the adjusting nut is fixed in the nut holder precisely.

(7)

After adjusting the parking brake stroke, raise the rear of vehicle.

(8)

Check that the rear brakes do not drag by turning the rear wheel when the parking brake lever is released.
