IG KEY : ON ,Engine : OFF

Measure data by using Multimeter or Scope.

3.

Press down Foot Brake and then release

4.

Compare with under the normal data.

Is BRAKE SWITCH displayed near the specified value?

YES

a.

Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor’s and/or ECM’s connector or was repaired and ECM memory was not cleared.

b.

Check for intermittent fault by observing the data parameter for a sudden change while wiggling the wiring and tapping lightly on the suspect component.

Be careful not to damage wires or components during the test.

Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure

Go to W/Harness Inspection of Inspection & Repair procedure.
