Subtract "B" from "A" = air gap

Specification
Air gap : 0.95-1.7mm<0.037-0.067in>
Remove CKPS and calculate air gap between sensor and tooth wheel.
Measure distance from hosing to tooth on tooth wheel.(Measurement "A")
Measure from mounting surface on sensor to sensor tip.(Measurement "B")
Subtract "B" from "A" = air gap
Specification
Air gap : 0.95-1.7mm<0.037-0.067in>
Are air gap within specification?
YES
Temporarily install a known good CKPS and check for proper operation
If problem is corrected, replace CKPS
NO
Fauity air gap
Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair"
