Check for distotion of plate installed inside crankshaft sprocket.
Component inspection is to find any pollution,dirt and distortion of CKPS plate.
Remove timing belt lower cover and upper cover.
After removing CKPS installed at upper side of crankshaft sprocket,check for dirt or pollution.
Check for distotion of plate installed inside crankshaft sprocket.
Is CKP polluted or the plate distorted?
YES
Replace CKPS and plate
Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure
NO
Go to "ECM INSPECTION"
The inspection of ECM by SENSOR OUTPUT & SIMMULATION mode is for finding any malfunction in ECM
Turn ignition switch to OFF and disconnect CKP harness connector.
Turn ignition switch to ON.
Probe(+) : CKPS harness connector NO2.
Probe(-) : Chassis ground.
Changing the frequency UP & DOWN with scan tool, check if there are injector operating sound and RPM changes.
Specification: If injector operating sound can be heard as simulation frequency changes,it is OK
Is CKPS sensor data changing within specification?
YES
Temporarily install a known good CKPS and check for proper operation
If problem is corrected, replace CKPS
NO
ECM internal faulty
Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure
