Operation
SRS warning lamp is located in the cluster. When the airbag system is normal, the SRI flashes for approx. 6 seconds after the ignition switch is turned ON. And then turns off automatically. If there is a malfunction in the airbag system. The SRI lights up to inform the driver of the abnormality. the SRSCM shall measure the voltage at the airbag SRI(malfunction indicator lamp)output pin, both when the lamp is on and when the lamp is off, to detect whether the commanded stste matches the actual states. one of the SRS warning lamp related socket among two is to turn on, off SRS warning lamp when SRSCM connector is linked. the other socket is to turn on, off SRS warning lamp when SRSCM connector is unlinked.
SRSCM sets a diagnostic trouble code B2503 if it detects open or short to ground on SRS warning lamp.
