IG KEY : ON, Engine : ON
Connect Scantool, select Service Data procedure.
Select Engine RPM, Input speed, Output speed , TRANSAXLE RANGE. Do graphic mode.
Stall test procedure in D2 or D3 .
Compare with under the data

Procedure
Stall test procedure in D2
1. Warm up Engine.
2. In case vehicle does not have HOLD SW with Installed A/T A4AF3 , doesn’t start 2nd gear in normal.
3. Break down PG-A or PG-B sensor optionally, make FAIL state with A/T
4. After positioning the select lever in "2",depress the foot brake fully and depress the accelator like that.
* the slippage of K/D band can be detected by stall test in D2
Stall test procedure in D3
1. Warm up Engine.
2. Disconnect Solenoid connector, make FAIL state with D3 HOLD depress the foot brake fully and the accelator
*the slippage of OD clutch can be detected by stall test in D3
Reason
1.stall test is not detecting because A/T vehicle can not make state of D4 HOLD. Therefore, stall test of D2, D3 is detected .for knowing K/D band and OD clutch faulty
Is input speed displayed near the specified value?
YES
Check that output sensor’s measured value is not normal. PG-A(IN), PG-B(OUT) (refer to DTC list P0717 PG-A, P0722 PG-B)
After erasing the code memory, confirm trouble code again.
NO
In case of detecting revolution of input speed sensor.
- 2ND BRAKE (2nd gear stall faulty ) and OD clutch (3rd gear stall faulty) are faulty or oil pressure system defect(replace the A/T ASS’Y)
- Repair, verify Verification Veh. Repair
In case of detecting revolution of output speed sensor
- Brake operate illegaliy or Tire revolution , the foot Brake depress fully. Try again.
