Description
1. General Description

The Transaxle Range Switch sends the shift lever position information to the TCM using a 12V (battery voltage) signal. When the shift lever is in the D (Drive) position the output signal of Tansaxle Range Switch is 12V and in all other positions the voltage is 0V. The TCM judges the shift lever position by reading all signals, for the Transaxle Range Switch, simultaneously.

2. DTC Description

The TCM sets this code when the Transaxle Range Switch has no output signal for an extended period of time.

DTC Detecting Condition

Item

Detecting Condition & Limp Home

Possible Cause

DTC Strategy

● Lack of circuit continuity

● Check for transaxle range switch to supply power

● Check for open or short in transaxle range switch circuit

● Check for transaxle range switch faulty

● Check for TCU faulty

Enable Conditions

● Engine speed ≥ 500rpm

Threshold Value

● No input signals are activated

Diagnostic Time

● More than 30sec

Fail Safe

● Recognition as privious signal

● When you can select N RANGE to D RANGE , have not signal ,recognize N RANGE.

● When you can select D RANGE to N RANGE , have not signal ,recognize D RANGE.
