Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(s) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Check the following conditions:

(1)

Check for damaged harness and terminals: contact resistance, oxidation, bent or broken terminals.

(2)

Check for poor connection between ECM and component: backed out terminal, improper mating, broken locks or poor terminal to wire connection

Use a suitable male pin to ensure that contact in sockets is good. The pin should remain in position when pulled gently.

3.

Has a problem been found?

YES

a.

Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure

NO

a.

System OK.

Power Supply Circuit Inspection
1.

IG KEY : ON. Engine : OFF.

2.

KICK DOWN SERVO SWITCH Connecter : Disconnect

3.

Measure Voltage between C09 Terminal 1 and GND.

a.

Channel 1 Prove(+) : C09 1(Harness).

b.

Channel1 Prove(-) : chassis GND.

c.

Specification : Approx.10.7V(approx.12V for Engine ON)

4.

Is measured value 12V ?

YES

a.

Go to Power Component Inspection procedure.

NO

a.

Check for line Open and Short between PCM C33-2 Terminal 2 and KICK DOWN SERVO SWITCH C09 Terminal1

b.

In case of normal state between PCM C33-2 Terminal 2 and KICK DOWN SERVO SWITCH C09 Terminal1 ,Replace PCM.

c.

Repair and then go to Verification of Vehicle Repair procedure.
