To perform the inspection of fuel line, make sure that the follwing items :

① Visually check the pipes, rail connections for leakage

② Fuel quality and fuel filter

③ Electric fuel pump

④ High pressure pump

⑤ Fuel pressure sensor and fuel pressure regulator

⑥ Injector

Fuel line check for the leakage

Make sure the fuel is the leakage and the connection of each component from the fuel tank to the injector with return line

- Replace or Repair as need

2. FUEL QUALITY AND FUEL FILTER

Make sure whether or not the fuel contains the foreign material, the deposits and the water etc.

- Change the fuel and clear away

- Replace the fuel filter

3. ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP CHECK

① Connect the pressure gauge to upstream fuel filter and turn the ignition switch ON(Or Fix the fuel pressure current data in the scan tool)

② Turn the ignition switch ON and then check the fuel pressure.(Or apply the battery voltage to the electric fuel pump relay check connector)

Pressure > 2.8 Bar

caution

Low presssure may be changed according to the battery condition and the fuel filter condition.

③ Actual fuel pressure for the low pressure line

- Inspect the fuel line leakage or clog

- Replace the electric fuel pump and the fuel filter cartridge.Fuel filter catridge6’s replacement term : every 15,000 Km

4. FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR CHECK

Make sure whether or not the fuel pressure regulator contains the foreign material, the leakage the deposits and the water etc.

- Replace the fuel pressure regulator. For a detailed inspection procedure, refer to " DTC P1182 ~ 1184 "

5. HIGH PRESSURE PUMP CHECK

Pressure > 150 bar

① Remove all injectors connector

② Connect the scan tool to the DLC and fix the fuel pressure current data

③ Operate the starting motor for 5 seconds

④ Inspect the high pressure pump damage due to the leakage, the water and the foreign material etc.

- Replace the high pressure pump

6. INJECTOR CHECK

Make sure whether or not the injector contains the foreign material, the leakage, the deposits and the water etc.

- Replace the injector. For a detailed inspection procedure, refer to " DTC P0201 ~ 0204 "
