a.

Rail pressure idle set value : 220 ~ 300 bar (approx. 1V)

b.

Maximum rail pressure value : 1500 bar(approx. 4.5V)

☞ CURRENT DATA

The fuel pressure regulator is used to control the rail pressure by regulating the amount of fuel that is sent to the pumping element of the high-pressure pump. The fuel pressure is decided by modulating the fuel pressure regulator. When accelerating, the rail pressure regulator is closing by the ECM duty control. And small amount fuel is returned to the fuel tank. On the contray, when the idle or low engine speed condition is, the fuel pressure regulator is opening to allow a largr amount fuel to returned to the fuel tank.

ARE THE FUEL PRESSURE AND THE RAIL REGULATOR CURENT DATA DISPLAYED PROPERLY ?

YES

a.

Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor’s and/or ECM’s connector or was repaired and ECM memory was not cleared.

b.

Check for intermittent fault by observing the data parameter for a sudden change while wiggling the wiring and tapping lightly on the suspect component.

Be careful not to damage wires or components during the test.

c.

Repair as necessary and go to " Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure

a.

Go to " W/Harness Inspection " procedure.
