Mass or volume air flow circuit high input

P0104

Mass or volume air flow intermittent

DESCRIPTION

The mass air flow sensor (MAFS, A) has an intake air temperature sensor built-in and is located between the air cleaner assembly and the throttle device. The MAFS uses a hot film type sensing-element to measure the mass of intake air entering the engine. Mass air flow rate is measured by detection of heat transfer from a hot film probe. The change in air flow rate causes change in the amount of heat being transferred from the hot film probe surface to the air flow. A large amount of intake air represents acceleration or high load conditions while a small amount of intake air represents deceleration or idle. The ECM uses this information to control the EGR solenoid valve and correct the fuel amount.

Detecting Condition

P0101 : The value of measured air flow  780mg/st

* P0101 is detected with below condition.(Driving on the way down)

- 2000 < rpm < 3000

- The quantity of fuel injection < 0 mg/st

- The value of atmospheric pressure > 750 hpa

- -7℃ < water temperature <120℃

P0102 : The value of measured air flow -15 kg/h

P0103: The value of measured air flow  550 kg/h

P0104: The value of sensor voltage < 4.7 V or > 5.1 V

- In this case, P1522/P1523 (Sensor supply 1 voltage malfunction) or P0124 (Throttle/pedal position A circuit intermittent) is detected together.
