The function of vehicle speed sensor (VSS, A) is to sense the tooth signal in T/M housing (4 pulses signal for every revolution of the rotor shaft) and send relevant signal to the Engine control module(ECM). The signal is used for computing the vehicle speed and the speed display on the tachometer as well.
