Be sure the outer diameter of shoe is within the specified values and install the drum.
Without ABS : Ø17.95~179 mm (7.07~7.05 in.) (7" drum)
With ABS : Ø202.2~201.7 mm (7.96~7.94 in.) (8" drum)
Installation is the reverse of removal.

Parking brake cable adjustment
Depress and release the brake pedal 20 times with a force of 10 kgf.
Pull the parking brake lever to full stroke more than 3 times.
When pulling up the point where is at a distance of 25mm (0.98 in.) from the end of the lever with a force of 20 kgf, adjust the adjusting nut to the lever assembly so that lever is fixed to 6~8 notches.
Install the brake shoe(A) to the backing plate(B).
Install the shoe hold down pin(C) and the spring(D) by pushing the retainer spring (D) and turning the pins.
After installing the strut(C) and upper return spring(D), install the adjuster assembly(B) and the lower return spring(C).
Apply a coating of the specified grease to each sliding parts of parking brake as shown.
Specified grease :
Multi purpose grease SAE J310, NLGI No.2
Install the rear brake disc/drum and rear brake caliper.
After installing the cable adjuster, adjust the parking brake lever stroke (see page BR-46).
