Connect scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC).
Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
Monitor the "TILT UP(DOWN) SWITCH " Parameter on the Scantool. While operating tilt switch.
Specification : Refer the specifications in fig2)
Is the measured current data within specifications?
YES
Go to " Check tilt motor" procedure.
NO
Substitute with a known-good tilt switch and check for proper operation.If the problem is corrected, replace tilt switch and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
Connect scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC).
Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
Select "ACTUATION TEST" mode on scantool and press [F1] to start
Dose tilt motor work properly?
YES
Go to " Check tilt sensor" procedure.
NO
Substitute with a known-good tilt motor and check for proper operation.If the problem is corrected, replace tilt motor and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
Connect scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC).
Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
Monitor the "TILT SENSOR" Parameter on the Scantool. While operating tilt switch.
Specification : Refer the specifications in fig5)
Is the measured voltage within specifications in fig5)?
YES
Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
Substitute with a known-good tilt motor and check for proper operation.If the problem is corrected, replace tilt motor and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
