Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

Go to "Component Inspection" procedure.
Ignition "OFF".
Disconnect right outside mirror.
Measure resistance between terminal "B19" of ADM and terminal "11" of right outside mirror.
Specification :Approx. 0 Ω
Is the measured resistance within specifications?
YES
Go to "Check for short in harness" procedure.
NO
Check for open in signal harness. Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
Ignition "OFF".
Disconnect right outside mirror.
Measure resistance between terminal "11" of right outside mirror and chassis ground
Specification :Approx. ∞ Ω
Is the measured resistance within specifications?
YES
Go to "Power circuit Inspection" procedure.
NO
Check for short in signal harness. Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
Check for open in harness
Ignition "OFF".
Disconnect right outside mirror.
Measure resistance between terminal "A1" of ADM and terminal "1" of right outside mirror.
Measure resistance between terminal "A3" of ADM and terminal "2" of right outside mirror.
Specification :Approx. 0 Ω
Is the measured resistance within specifications?
YES
Go to "Check for short in harness" procedure.
NO
Check for open in motor power harness. Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
Check for short in harness
Ignition "OFF".
Disconnect right outside mirror.
Measure resistance between terminal "1" of right outside mirror and chassis ground.
Measure resistance between terminal "2" of right outside mirror and chassis ground
Specification :Approx. ∞ Ω
Is the measured resistance within specifications?
YES
Go to "Sensor Power circuit Inspection" procedure.
NO
Check for short in power harness. Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
Ignition "OFF"
Disconnect right outside mirror.
Measure voltage between terminal "9" of right outside mirror and chassis ground.
Specification : Approx. 5V
Is the measured voltage within specifications?
YES
Go to "Ground circuit Inspection" procedure.
NO
Check for open or short in harness. Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
Ignition "OFF".
Disconnect right outside mirror.
Measure resistance between terminal "10" of right outside mirror and chassis ground.
Specification :Approx. 0 Ω
Is the measured resistance within specifications?
YES
Go to "Component Inspection " procedure.
NO
Check for open in ground harness. Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
