Monitor "ATMOSPHERIC PRESS. SNSR " parameter on the scantool.

Atmospheric sensor is installed in ECM and senses atmospheric pressure where the vehicle is.Based on singal of atmospheric sensor, air density is calculated. And atmospheric sensor is used to detect mass air flow with MAFS, IATS. This sensor is required to perform 1) fuel injection quantity correction in high altitude and 2) EGR control. Atmospheric pressure is fixed at 1000 hpa when atmospheric sensor fails.
P0108 is set when the voltage above 4.902V - maximum output voltage of Barometric pressure sensor - is detected for more than 0.8 sec. This code is due to fhe failure of the sensor inside of ECM.

Connect Scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
Warm engine up to normal operating temperature.
Turn "OFF" electrical devices and A/C.
Monitor "ATMOSPHERIC PRESS. SNSR " parameter on the scantool.
Specification : Approx. 1 atm is displayed
ECM Component Inspection
IG KEY "OFF", ENGINE "OFF".
Disconnect ECM.
Replace ECM, check if abnormal operations disappear.
If problems are corrected, replace ECM.
Input injector IQA data(7 letters) using scantool at replacing ECM.
Enter the driving distance - how many km the CPF is used- into New ECM with scanner.
For immobilizer applied vehicle, input pin code.
After a repair, it is essential to verify that the fault is corrected.
After connecting Scantool select "DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES(DTCs)" mode.
Clear recorded DTC using Scantool.
Drive the vehicle within DTC "Enable conditions" in "General information".
After selecting "DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES(DTCs)" mode and check if DTC is recorded again.
Are any DTCs recorded ?
▶ Go to the DTC guide of recorded NO. in Scantool.
▶ System operates within specification.
