PREPARATION
Refer to the DESCRIPTION in this TROUBLESHOOTING part.
CHECK POWER SUPPLY
Connect the battery negative cable to the battery.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Measure voltage between the terminal and 4 of PAD switch harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification (voltage) : 9 ~ 16.5 V
Is the measured voltage within specification?
▶ Check ground circuit.
▶Replace the harness between the battery line and the PAD switch.
CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT
Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery.
Disconnect the connector of the PAD switch.
Measure resistance between the terminal 2 of PAD switch harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification (resistance) : 0 Ω
Is the measured resistance within specification?
▶ Go to next step.
▶ Repair or replace the wiring harness between the PAD switch and the chassis ground.
CHECK THE PAD SWITCH
Connect the SRSCM connector.
Connect the PAD switch.
Connect the battery negative cable to the battery.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Measure resistance between the terminal 19 of the SRSCM harness connector(A) and 1 of PAD switch harness connector.
Specification (resistance :
PAD switch (Enabled positon) : 904 ~ 1,154 Ω
PAD switch (Disabled positon) : 381 ~ 577 Ω
Is the measured resistance within specification?
▶ Go to next step.
▶ Replace the PAD switch.
CLEAR THE DTC AND CHECK THE VEHICLE AGAIN
