Remove the engine cover (A).
Remove the battery (A).
After disconnecting the AFS connector (A) and removing the air cleaner upper body (B).
After disconnecting the PCM connector (B) and removing the air cleaner under body (A).
Remove the battery tray (A).
Remove the transaxle oil cooler hoses (A) releasing the clamps.
Disconnect the ground wire (A).
Disconnect the inhibitor switch connector (A), solenoid valve connector (B) and the input shaft speed sensor connector (C).
Disconnect the output shaft speed sensor connector (A), and vehicle speed sensor connector (B).
Remove the transaxle upper mounting bolts (A).
Remove the transaxle insulator mounting bolt (A).
Using the SST(09200-38001), support the engine and transaxle assembly safely.
Disconnect the power steering pressure tube from the power steering oil pump.
Remove the front wheels and Lifting up the vehicle, remove the under cover (A).
Drain power steering fluid through the return tube by loosening the clamp (A). (refer to ST group)
After removing the oil drain plug, drain the fluid.
Disconnect the lower arm assembly from the knuckle. (refer to DS group)
Disconnect the tie rod end ball joint from the knuckle after removing the split pin. (refer to DS group)
Disconnect the stabilizer bar link. (refer to SS group)
Remove the front roll stopper mounting bolt. (refer to ST group)
Remove the front exhaust pipe. (refer to EM group)
Remove the rear roll stopper mounting bolt. (refer to ST group)
Remove the muffler hanger rubber.
Using the SST(09624-38000) and holding the cross member (A) with a jack, remvoe the steering bolt.
Remove drive shaft from transaxle. (refer to 'DS' group)
Remove the starter motor mounting bolt and nut.
Install a jack for supporting the transaxle assembly.
Remove the transaxle under mounting bolts (A) and the drive plate bolts (B).
Lifting the vehicle up and lowering the jack slowly, remove the transaxle assembly.
Lowering the vehicle or lifting up a jack, install the transaxle assembly.
Tighten the transaxle under mounting bolts (A) and the drive plate bolts (B).
TORQUE
[A] : 34.3~41.2 Nm(350~420 Kgf.cm, 25.3~30.4 lb.ft)
[B] : 45.1~52.0 Nm(460~530 Kgf.cm, 33.3~38.3 lb.ft)
Install the starter motor mounting bolt and nut. (refer to EE group)
Install drive shaft(A, B) from transaxle. (refer to DS group).
Supporting the cross member with the SST(09624-38000), tighten the steering column bolt and the cross member (A) mounting bolts. (refer to ST group)
Install the muffler hanger rubber.
Install the front and rear roll stopper mounting bolts.
Install the front exhaust pipe. (refer to EM group)
Install the steering bar tie rod, the stabilizer bar link and the lower arm assembly. (refer to ST group)
Connect the the power steering return hose by tightening the clamp (A).
Install the front wheels and Lifting up the vehicle, remove the under cover (A).
Connect the power steering pressure bolt. (refer to ST group)
Remove the SST(09200-38001) holding the engine and transaxle assembly.
After lowering the vehicle, tighten the transaxle insulator mounting bolt (A).
TORQUE :
65~85 Nm(6.5~8.5 kgf.m, 47.0~61.5 lb-ft)
Install the transaxle upper mounting bolts (A).
TORQUE : 65~85 Nm(6.5~8.5 kgf.m, 47.0~61.5 lb-ft)
Install the vehicle speed sensor connector (B) and output speed sensor connector (A).
Install the inhibitor switch connector (A), solenoid valve connector (B) and the input shaft speed sensor connector (C).
Install the ground earth wire (A).
Install the transaxle oil cooler hoses (A) releasing the clamps.
Install the battery tray (A).
Install the PCM connector (B) and air cleaner under body (A).
Install the AFS connector (A) and air cleaner upper body (B).
Install the battery (A).
Install the engine cover (A).
Refill the automatic transaxle fluid. (refer to 'SERVICE ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE')
Refill the power steering fluid and bleed the air. (refer to ST group)
