Connect scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC).
Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
Monitor the "RECLINE FORWARD(BACKWARD) SW " Parameter on the Scantool. While operating powerseat Recline switch.
Specification : Refer the specifications in fig2)
Is the measured current data within specifications?
YES
Go to " Check powerseat recline motor" procedure.
NO
Substitute with a known-good powerseat recline switch and check for proper operation.If the problem is corrected, replace powerseat recline switch and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
Connect scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC).
Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
Select "ACTUATION TEST" mode on scantool and press [F1] to start
Dose powerseat recline motor work properly?
YES
Go to " Check powerseat recline sensor" procedure.
NO
Substitute with a known-good powerseat recline motor and check for proper operation.If the problem is corrected, replace powerseat recline motor and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
Connect scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC).
Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
Monitor the "RECLINE POSITION" Parameter on the Scantool. While operating powerseat Recline switch.
Specification : Refer the specifications in fig5)
Is the measured voltage within specifications in fig5)?
YES
Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
Substitute with a known-good powerseat recline motor and check for proper operation.If the problem is corrected, replace powerseat recline motor and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
