Component Inspection
Check rear height switch
1.

Connect scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC).

2.

Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"

3.

Monitor the "RR HEIGHT UP(DOWN) SW " Parameter on the Scantool. While operating rear height switch.

a.

Specification : Refer the specifications in fig2)

4.

Is the measured current data within specifications?

YES

a.

Go to " Check rear height motor" procedure.

NO

a.

Substitute with a known-good rear height switch and check for proper operation.If the problem is corrected, replace rear height switch and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

5.

Connect scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC).

6.

Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"

7.

Select "ACTUATION TEST" mode on scantool and press [F1] to start

8.

Dose rear height motor work properly?

YES

a.

Go to " Check rear height sensor" procedure.

NO

a.

Substitute with a known-good rear height motor and check for proper operation.If the problem is corrected, replace rear height motor and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

9.

Connect scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC).

10.

Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"

11.

Monitor the "RR HEIGHT POSITION" Parameter on the Scantool. While operating rear height switch.

a.

Specification : Refer the specifications in fig5)

12.

Is the measured voltage within specifications in fig5)?

YES

a.

Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

NO

a.

Substitute with a known-good rear height motor and check for proper operation.If the problem is corrected, replace rear height motor and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
