Connect scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC).
Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
Monitor the "TELESCO. FORWARD(BACKWARD) SW " Parameter on the Scantool. While operating Telescope switch.
Specification : Refer the specifications in fig2)
Is the measured current data within specifications?
YES
Go to " Check Telescope motor" procedure.
NO
Substitute with a known-good Telescope switch and check for proper operation.If the problem is corrected, replace Telescope switch and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
Connect scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC).
Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
Select "ACTUATION TEST" mode on scantool and press [F1] to start
Dose Telescope motor work properly?
YES
Go to " Check Telescope sensor" procedure.
NO
Substitute with a known-good Telescope motor and check for proper operation.If the problem is corrected, replace Telescope motor and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
Connect scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC).
Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
Monitor the "TELESCOPE SENSOR" Parameter on the Scantool. While operating telescope switch.
Specification : Refer the specifications in fig5)
Is the measured voltage within specifications in fig5)?
YES
Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
Substitute with a known-good Telescope motor and check for proper operation.If the problem is corrected, replace Telescope motor and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
